Mediation aims to resolve conflicts by creating an environment that encourages all individuals to voice their concerns, listen to the other’s perspective, and engage in collaborative problem solving.

The role of the mediator (facilitator) is to provide a guided process where each individual is supported to discuss, understand, and resolve the problem at hand. This private and confidential process takes seriously the most important and critical issues each party is facing. It seeks to empower individuals to take ownership of their own conflicts by attempting to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. Successful mediation produces an end result that meets the needs and interests of both parties.
