We believe school boards have both the privilege and the responsibility to ensure that each student in their care receives an exceptional educational experience. Creating and sustaining a high-performing school board which centers around student-achievement does not happen overnight, nor by accident. PartnerED believes that effective school board governance is a discipline that requires the on-going commitment, engagement, humility, and perseverance of every member on the school board governance team.
School Board Professional Learning Services
Our school board professional learning services are customized to meet the unique needs of each school board and its district - all with an unrelenting focus on prioritizing student achievement. Our facilitators, who are experienced school board members and superintendents, will share best practices and research based strategies that can and do impact student achievement. We work alongside school board teams to support their efforts to both develop and sustain the necessary attributes that will yield a positive impact on their students, families, staff, and school community.
All school board professional learning is rooted in centering, supporting, and sustaining student achievement through exceptional school board team leadership and governance. Whatever the specific needs of a school board are, we will listen and learn to gather as much information as we can to ensure that we have a deep understanding of the challenges and issues at hand so that we can co-create the goals and desired outcomes that the board wishes to achieve.

- Increasing self-awareness: understanding the impact we have on others.
- Using the School Board Team Self-Evaluation to increase transparency & accountability.
- Recognizing the importance of ongoing school board professional learning.
- Building and maintaining a culture of trust & collaboration.
- Normalizing conflict and leveraging differences to strengthen the collective leadership of the school board team.
- Aligning school board team goals to Superintendent’s goals and district’s Strategic Plan.
